I’m a down-to-earth, engaging, and commercially focused senior HR professional with over 25 years’ experience across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, education, aviation, and professional services. I’ve had the opportunity to lead innovative change initiatives and contribute as a thought leader, aligning commercial and people strategies to build sustainable workforces.
My passion for human resources began early in my career when I saw companies using cookie-cutter approaches to people practices, when a more individualised approach could have made a significant difference for both employees and the organisation.
I create bespoke solutions tailored to each organisation, taking an employee-centric approach to drive and influence business outcomes. I believe that highly skilled, highly engaged, and highly valued employees are the foundation of business success.
My formal qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Psychology) from the University of Canterbury.
I am a current member of HRINZ and the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI), as well as a Certified Professional member of AHRI.
I also serve as a mentor in AHRI’s mentoring program, supporting the next generation of HR professionals.
With a strong passion for wellbeing, I earned a Mental Health First Aid Certificate in 2018 through CoLiberate, an accredited provider of Mental Health First Aid certification.
